My favourite art was Pukamani grave posts, Traditional art. This art was made by Laurie Nelson Mungatopi, Bob One Apuatimi, Jack Yarunga, Don Burakmadju, and Charline Quiet Kwangdini in 1958 from Tiwi North region, Language group.  This was the first major commission of Aboriginal work by gallery of modern art, establishing Aboriginal culture within an art content. They employed traditional techniques of carving and painting and made with sculptures from ironwood rather than the traditional blood wood, on the ironwood the artist used natural colour such as charcoal, blood, yellow dust, wood ash, which is reserved for ceremonies. This ceremony is unique of Tiwi .It is a final goodbye for their ancestor from their baby. Throw this art I can see the strong attachment to the ancestor and their land.
